Corey Lynn Fayman has done hard time as a musician, songwriter, and interactive designer, but still refuses to apologize for it. His hometown of San Diego, CA provides the backdrop for his mystery novels, including the award-winning Border Fields Blues and Desert City Diva.

Maria Carrera spent her life in theatre, as a director, writer, stage manager, and teacher. She came out of retirement for this Rolly Waters podcast.

Kevin Hafso-Koppman is a performer who can do both drama and comedy and has done everything from Shakespeare’s tragedies at the Old Globe to this summer playing a Roman servant at the North Coast Repertory Theatre in the musical farce in SOMETHING FUNNY HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM.

Kyrsten Hafso-Koppman hails from Alberta,Canada. She earned her B.A. in vocal performance from Whitworth University and her M.F.A in Musical Theatre from San Diego State University. “I guess my specialty would be classical voice and dance. I tend to gravitate to musicals with a fair amount of dance for that reason, but I do love doing plays as well.”

Nancy Snow Carr is a proud member of the Actors’ Equity Association and the National Association of teachers Singing. She has been seen on the National Tours of Phantom and The Buddy Holly Story, as well as in regional theaters all over the country. Nancy is the owner and operator of NC Studios: The Voice Studio of Nancy Carr where she offers private voice instruction. She is also the Director of Education at San Diego Musical Theatre.

Robert Drake has served as a producer, production manager, and arts executive for more than 25 years.  Always a performer, Robert has spent most of his career in theatre behind the scenes. Robert is pleased to make his podcast debut with DESERT CITY DIVA.

   Guitarist and Composer

Ian Valet has performed on stages throughout the United States, including gigs backing Bo Diddley and Lindsey Tomasic, and internationally from Brazil to Singapore. His recorded compositions have enjoyed worldwide use in broadcast media. His musical adventures have taken him fromAmericana to Zydeco and all points in between, seeking in all cases to bring groove, vibe and soulfulness to whatever genre he pursues.
